Fun Ways to Spice Up a Spring Wedding

Posted by: Denise In: Theme Weddings

Spring weddings are very popular, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add a bit of flair and uniqueness to your celebration! With these easy, fun ideas, you can spice up your Spring wedding and celebrate your big day in style.

Decorating Ideas

Rather than using one color as your central theme, consider mixing a combination of similar-colored patterns for your table decor. Stripes, polka dots, and checks in soft spring colors are the perfect accents.

Forgo huge bouquets in favor of single flower bud vases as centerpieces or accent flowers. Alternatively, you can omit the vases altogether and arrange flowers in baskets with a gingham bow for extra style.

Favor Ideas

For a spring wedding, packets of flower seeds or miniature bulbs are a unique and economical choice for wedding favors. Plus, they really fit a spring wedding theme!

Personalized, plantable seed favors (pictured) are also the perfect token of your appreciation. Plus, they are eco-friendly!

Mini clay flower pots with herbs or other small plants are also a great option. Tie a checked ribbon around each pot and attach a tag with the guests name for extra personalization.

Cake Ideas

A gorgeous pastel colored cake adorned with sugar flowers fits with a spring wedding theme and is delicious to boot!

Think outside the box and forgo a traditional chocolate or white cake in favor of strawberry with pink fondant. Yum!

Instead of a bride and groom cake topper, have the bakery create a floral wreath-type piece that can adorn the top of your cake and look absolutely smashing.

With these simple and fun ideas, you can spice up your spring wedding without much work at all.

Did you have a Spring wedding? How did you incorporate the symbolism of the season into your celebration?

Best Bridezilla Stories

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers. Can anyone beat that bridezilla request?? — Alexis
