Beach Wedding Decor For Your Seaside Celebration

Posted by: Denise In: Theme Weddings

Decorating for a beachfront wedding can be a tricky task, but with a little bit of creativity, you can turn your seaside celebration into something you and your guests will always remember.

Seashells of various shapes and sizes can definitely be incorporated into your decor. Use them as table decorations; turn them into unique wedding favors or come up with other creative ways to use them. Nothing says “beach wedding” like pretty seashells to decorate the place!

For centerpieces, fill large glass bowls with sand, shells, starfish and other “beachy” items to add beautiful ambiance to your celebration. The bowls can very varying shapes and sizes, and you can securely anchor white pillar candles into the bowls to add soft lighting to your event once the sun goes down.

For a creative take on the traditional seating chart, use inexpensive glass bottles and put slips of paper with your guests names in them. Place the bottles by the chairs they are expected to sit, and voila! So much more unique than traditional place cards, and not much more expensive, either.

Cover your wedding canopy or archway with swaths of fabric in your wedding colors; tie ribbons to the backs of the chairs in a coordinating color. For extra oomph, take a cue from the photo pictured here and use colorful flower petals as your “aisle” when you walk down to meet your groom. Beautiful!

There are plenty of unique, creative options to use when decorating for a beach wedding. These ideas should help inspire you to think of your own special way to make your big day something to remember forever!

Best Bridezilla Stories

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers. Can anyone beat that bridezilla request?? — Alexis
