Gorgeous in Green – Green Flowers, Cakes and More for your Wedding!

Posted by: Denise In: DIY|Just for Fun|Theme Weddings

I figured since spring is right around the corner, it would be a perfect time to feature a very “spring” color – green! Take a look at these amazing photographs of everything from a green wedding cake to stationary; you just might be inspired to create your own green wedding!

Keep it simple with a delicious three tier wedding cake in a pretty mint green color. This particular cake was covered in pale green fondant and finished off with a white lattice design to complete the look. If you want to get creative, you could easily adapt this cake to your own style preferences by topping it off with fresh flowers or garlands for a truly spring-inspired look.

Create a bright pop of color against a traditional white wedding dress with an all-green bridal bouquet like the one pictured at right. A mix of various herbs, mums, and cockscomb create a stunning bouquet that really brightens up the entire ceremony. Beautiful!

Keep your invitations simple yet still classically elegant with a pale green leaf motif across the border of your invites. Simple scroll lettering denoting your names, the date and location of the wedding are all you need for the finishing touch. These invites work great for a green wedding or a garden themed ceremony, too!

Jazz up your reception site with green decor that is sure to wow. Fill clear glass vases in varying sizes with any green fruit, such as pears or apples, and top with a small bouquet of flowers to complete the look. You can use these as centerpieces for the tables or arrange them around the room for a unique and cost-effective way to decorate your space.

Green weddings can be absolutely gorgeous, and the color is perfect for spring or a garden themed wedding. Which look is your favorite?

I love the wedding stationery. It is a good choice of color because it brings life and brightness.

Thank you both for your comments :)

“Going green” is definitely a huge trend this year, especially for spring. I’m a huge fan of the stationary too, Michelle!

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers. Can anyone beat that bridezilla request?? — Alexis
