Beautiful in Blue – Blue Wedding Decor, Cakes and More!

Posted by: Denise In: DIY|Just for Fun|Theme Weddings

Having a blue wedding? Check out these amazing cakes, flowers, and decor for inspiration. Blue has never looked this beautiful!

I LOVE this cake! While your cake doesn’t have to be nearly this abstract, I adore the white bird silhouettes and blue/brown accents on this striking cake. If your wedding cake looks anything like this, it will definitely be the focal point of the room!

For a simple yet elegant bouquet, combine blue, purple and pale green hydrangea clusters like the one at right. It’s fluffy, festive and very fun! Plus, it will look very striking against a stark white wedding gown. Beautiful!

A seaside ceremony calls for a little creativity when it comes to the decor, and these adorable paper lanterns are simply perfect. Small paper lanterns adorning each chair adds a certain ambience to the occassion and are an economical way to add flair to your celebration.

An outdoor reception (provided the weather behaves!) is a wonderful way to celebrate your union. Add a bit of flair to the celebration by hanging strings of blue lights around the perimeter. They will add a bit of festive sparkle to the occasion and look absolutely smashing.

If you’re planning a blue-themed wedding, use these featured ideas for inspiration to take your wedding and reception to the next level!

Best Bridezilla Stories

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers. Can anyone beat that bridezilla request?? — Alexis
