Romantic Wedding Cakes You’ll Swoon Over

Posted by: Denise In: Cakes and Catering

Romantic wedding cakes are gorgeous, fancy, and 100% feminine – perfect for a fairy tale wedding!

Interested in crafting your own romantic wedding cake? Take a look at these photos for inspiration and design ideas. Even if you aren’t a wannabe princess, you will LOVE these beautiful cakes!

This cake is captivating for its simplicity, but still remains elegant, romantic and classy. This masterpiece is created with three tiers of fondant with sugarpaste flowers as accents. For the “minimalist romantic,” try a wedding cake in this type of style!

As soon as I saw this cake, I fell in love with its simple elegance. Large sugar roses adorn each of the 5 tiers, and pink icing was piped around each tier as an accent. Frilly, fun and fabulous!

This wedding cake works equally well for a fall or winter wedding, and absolutely screams romance! White fondant heart designs layer each tier while real flowers adorn the cake for a classy look. This would also be perfect for a Valentine’s Day wedding!

I LOVE how intricate this cake is! Everytime you look at the photograph, you see a new design element you missed before. This gorgeous vanilla fondant cake offers four tiers of romantic elegance, including flora and leaf designs, scrolled vinework and more. Plus, two birds sit perched on the top tier to add a perfect dose of springtime romance!

While I would not ordinarily consider myself a “romantic” by any stretch, I couldn’t help but fall in love with these beautiful wedding cakes. Which one is your favorite?

Best Bridezilla Stories

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers. Can anyone beat that bridezilla request?? — Alexis
