For some reason, I always associate the playful polka dot with spring. For that reason, I think polka dot wedding cakes are one of the best choices for a spring wedding! Apparently, I’m not alone – the featured cakes on this page all incorporate the pretty polka dot in some manner.
I love, love, LOVE this cake! Three tiers of delicious buttercream are bedecked in bright fondant polka dots. I especially love how the polka dots were varied in size and hue; I think it adds more personality to the cake. For the finishing touch, the cake was accented with real flowers that coordinated with the colors of the cake and the wedding. Yum!
If you like a more feminine style, a pink wedding cake might be just the thing. Various sizes of pink fondant polka dots decorate each tier, and the cake stand even coordinates well with the frilly, feminine style of the wedding cake!
If I had to choose, this cake would be my definite favorite. The green, pink, and aqua polka dots that adorn this three-tier square wedding cake are perfect spring colors! The cake stand also features a polka dot motif, and spring flowers embellish the top and sides for the perfect finishing touch. Beautiful!
