Should You Elope?

Posted by: Denise In: Bridezilla

Between the crazy chaos of wedding plans and trying to fit everything into a budget, many couples entertain the idea of eloping just to save themselves the stress and money!

Should you elope? Well, there are a few things you should consider before deciding to run away and get hitched.

If you’re worried about what your family members might think and believe you’ll miss out on a big wedding to celebrate your union with friends and family, you probably shouldn’t elope.

You also don’t want to end up resenting the fact that you never had a wedding, which can put strain and tension on a relationship. Keep in mind you won’t have many pictures commemorating your big day, either.

If you’ve considered all of the ramifications of elopement and still decide to go ahead with it, make sure you and your partner are both 100% committed to saving money and the stress that comes along with planning a big ceremony.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how you get hitched; all that matters is that you’re ready to spend the rest of your life with the one you love!

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers. Can anyone beat that bridezilla request?? — Alexis
