True, the wedding plans may have gotten “bigger than Big,” especially after we were constantly reminded that this was his 3rd marriage; but it was Carrie’s first marriage and after 10 years of dealing with the guy, she deserved an event with all the glamour and panache NYC has to offer.

To ask your guests to financially support a candidate that they may not personally agree with not only alienates their democratic rights, the disrespect it shows could put a damper on your entire event.

One of my cousins got married last year and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. About 2 weeks before the wedding the bride calls me up to ask me if I would mind not wearing my engagement ring at her wedding since it would distract people from looking at her ring, and she really didn’t want anyone in the bridal party sporting jewelry bigger than hers.
